Under the Fattoria di Collefertile brand, the two properties of the family come together.
Fattoria Villa l’Olmo came to the current owner’s family in the mid-18th century when it was purchased by the Davanzati family. At the end of the 19th century, the first oil mill to grind olives was installed.
From then, the main agricultural activity of the farm has been the production of oil both because the area is particularly suited to offer an excellent quality of olives in the classic varieties of cultivars of the Chianti hills, as well as because within the generations that followed the guidance of the farm there has always been a great passion for extra virgin olive oil which can only be through the essence of olives.
Collefertile farm, located in the heart of Mugello, extends for 450 hectares at a height of 750mt from the sea. Taking full advantage of the natural characteristics of the property, the business has recently been certified organic, from here is born a line of six jams and a superior extra virgin olive oil. The woods provide us with truffles and blackthorn mushrooms, the fields give us ancient grains with a frame of pure nature.
